ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA Singer ROSSI To Perform In His Homeland Tomorrow
November 3, 2006Canadian Press reports that ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA frontman Lukas Rossi will make a triumphant return to his homeland Saturday (Nov. 4) with his first Canadian performance since winning the rock 'n' roll reality TV show.
The gravelly voiced singer, whose brash audition endeared him to veteran rockers Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke, said Friday he's excited to be back in Canada to rock the Geminis.
"It's a great sense of achievement and I can't wait to give back to all the fans that put me here, man," Rossi said by phone from Vancouver.
The televised awards show — which honors the best in Canadian TV — is being held in Richmond, B.C., just outside of Vancouver.
Rossi said he and ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Clarke will perform an acoustic version of "It's All Love" off their upcoming album.
"It should be sweet," the Toronto rocker promised.
Lee is on tour with his band MÖTLEY CRÜE and ex-METALLICA bassist Newsted is recovering from an injury to his left shoulder and right arm.
Saturday's Geminis gala airs on Global at 6:30 p.m. PST/9:30 p.m. EST.
